Game one:
University of South Carolina Union Bantams defeated Limestone 6-1 on Monday. In the first inning, The Bantams got their offense started when Jarett Whitley singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run. The Bantams put up three runs in the third inning and scored its runs on a home run by Seth Jones. Eric Yelton got the start for the Bantams and the fireballer lasted four and a third innings, allowing three hits and zero runs while striking out three.
Deloatch led things off on the hill for Limestone. The hurler went two innings, allowing one run on one hit and striking out one. #46, #38, #22, and #15 each entered the game as relief, throwing one inning, one inning, one inning, and one inning respectively.
The Bantams launched two home runs on the day. Brayden Corn had a homer in the fourth inning. Jones went yard in the third inning. Corn, Jaycee Clark, Whitley, and Jones each collected one hit to lead The Bantams. The Bantams was sure handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Clark had the most chances in the field with seven.
Game two:
Scorekeepers were kept busy today during a high-scoring contest between The Bantams and Limestone where the Bantams prevailed 13-6. Limestone got things started in the first inning when #19 grounded out, scoring one run.
In the bottom of the first inning, The Bantams tied things up at three. Kris Levinstiens grounded out, scoring one run. The Bantams pulled away for good with six runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Brayden Corn doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run, Clayton Goff doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs, Jarett Whitley drew a walk, scoring one run, and Levinstiens singled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs. Michael Leone got the start for The Bantams. The fireballer allowed three hits and four runs over three innings, striking out three.
Walker led things off on the hill for Limestone. Walker went one inning, allowing three runs on two hits and striking out one. #12, #39, #33, and #17 each entered the game as relief, throwing two innings, one and one-third innings, one inning, and two-thirds of an inning respectively.
The Bantams collected 11 hits on the day with Burton Hahn, Corn, and Goff all managed multiple hits. Hahn went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead The Bantams in hits.
Adams led Limestone with two hits in four at bats.
