USC Union won a doubleheader against Rays Blue Claws Post Grad

Game 1: Both USC Union Bantams and Blue Claws Post Grad had their offenses going on Thursday, but USC Union eventually prevailed 11-7, collecting six hits.

USC Union got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Brett Boone drew a walk, scoring one run, Kris Levensteins drew a walk, scoring one run, and Lucas O'Connor induced Clayton Goff to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored. Gram Morlan drew a walk, scoring one run, Zach Leroy singled, scoring one run, and Michael Adams singled, scoring two runs.

Colin Ingle earned the win for USC Union Bantams, surrendering one hit and two runs over two innings, striking out one and walking two. Blake Baldwin led things off on the mound for USC Union. The starting pitcher allowed four hits and four runs (three earned) over three and one-third innings, striking out one and walking three. Mason Stepp pitched one inning of no-run ball for USC Union in relief, giving up one hit, striking out two, and walking none.

Game 2: Blue Claws Post Grad got on the board first, but USC Union quickly followed in the bottom of the second inning after Gram Morlan was struck by a pitch, Clay Burgess hit into a fielder's choice, Brayden Corn walked, Kris Levensteins walked, and Jordan Fricks walked, each scoring one run.

USC Union scored five runs on two hits in the bottom of the fifth inning. Corn doubled, scoring two runs, and Fricks singled, scoring three runs.

Colby Helms earned the win for USC Union, allowing one hit and one run (zero earned) over two innings, striking out three and walking one. Ezra Poole opened the game for USC Union, surrendering two hits and two runs (zero earned) over three innings, striking out six and walking one. Josh Raines and Jackson Jefferson each appeared in relief for USC Union. The Bantams won 11-6.

Corn and Blake Exizian each collected two hits for USC Union. Cornwent 2-for-3 at the plate as he led the team with three runs batted in. Levensteins paced USC Union with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, accumulating 11 walks in the game.
