Bio

Chris Nall was an All-Region pitcher for now Duke University Head Coach Chris Pollard, during his playing days at Pfeiffer University. He was inducted to the Pfeiffer Hall of Fame in 2017 for helping lead the team to back-to-back Conference Championships, an NCAA Regional appearance and setting a school record for wins (41) in 2004. Nall also spent 3 years pitching in the Coastal Plains League for the Asheboro Copperheads. 

Upon graduating in 2004, he was named the Pitching Coach of the Fayetteville Swampdogs of the CPL, where five pitchers on his staff that summer where drafted and eventually played professionally. At the end of the summer he moved to South Carolina to be the Recruiting Coordinator/Pitching Coach at Anderson University. 

From 2008-2011, Nall was the Head Baseball Coach at Christ Church Episcopal School in Greenville, SC. He won back-to-back District Championships and was named Region Coach of the Year in 2010. 

In 2014, he returned to coaching college baseball as the Recruiting Coordinator/Pitching Coach at Limestone College in Gaffney, SC. Nall’s first recruiting class led the league in homeruns and placed three players on the national leader board for homeruns.

Nall also founded the Upstate Mavericks organization in 2006 and has hosted both Showcase and Perfect Game Tournaments for the last 10+ years. The Mavericks organization has won multiple National Championships, have had 39 players drafted, including 5 big leaguers, since 2006. He is currently the President and Head Coach of the Scout Team in the summer and fall.

Nall has spent time as an Associate Scout for several MLB Clubs including the Mets, Yankees, Giants and Padres.  He resides in Lyman SC with his wife (Karen) and two children…Tucker (9) and Madilyne (6).
