Bio
Micah was born in Germany on an Army base but was raised in Mooresboro, North Carolina. He then moved to Spartanburg and graduated from Broome High School in 1992. Micah played for and learned from some of the best coaches around. Bubba Dorman, Tim Wallace and John Daurity, whom he considers his mentor. Micah went on to play a short stint in the minor league system, as well as in the international league system as a pitcher.
After a while, he decided to hang up his hat and pursue his passion as a coach and mentor. Micah has been an assistant coach at Broome High School in Spartanburg, SC, and a head coach of the first Fall League in Spartanburg County, where he won a region championship. He has also been the head baseball coach at Spartanburg Day School, as well as, head coach for the Spartanburg American Legion Team Post 28 where he won a State Championship. He also has two region championships and a state championship as head coach of the Tri-Community Senior League team in North Carolina under his belt. Micah has been a private instructor for over 20 years and was working as an area scout before taking the head coaching position at USC Union.
