Lady Bantams Sweep Southeastern Community College
Game 1: USC Union Lady Bantams shut out Southeastern CC 1-0 on Wednesday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Alexandra Bell induced a groundout from #1 to finish off the game. The pitching was strong on both sides. Lady Bantams pitchers struck out seven, while Southeastern CC pitchers sat down two.
One bright spot for Southeastern CC was a double by #12 in the fourth inning.

Game 2: USC Union Lady Bantams stole the lead late and defeated Southeastern CC 8-7 on Wednesday. The game was tied at three with Lady Bantams batting in the top of the fourth when Emma Chapman doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.
A four-run lead in the fourth inning was just enough for Lady Bantams to hold off Southeastern CC for the victory. Southeastern CC scored four runs in the failed comeback on a by #7 in the fourth, a single by #5 in the fifth, and a single by #18 in the fifth.
Southeastern CC opened up scoring in the first inning. #8 singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run. They also scored three runs in the fifth inning. The big inning for Southeastern CC came thanks to singles by #5 and #18.
Katelyn Turner got the start for Lady Bantams. The southpaw allowed five hits and two runs over two innings, walking zero.
#9 was in the circle for Southeastern CC. The hurler surrendered two runs on five hits over two and two-thirds innings, walking one. #4 and #5 entered the game as relief, throwing one and one-third innings and one inning respectively.
