Lady Bantams Split with Columbia College

The Bantams got on the board in the top of the second inning after they scored on a passed ball, and DeAnna Sweat grounded out, each scoring one run.

Three more USC Union runs crossed the plate in the third inning to extend the lead to 5-0. Bailey Stewart grounded out, scoring one run, and Sophie Caley homered to left field, scoring two runs.

Brianna Compton earned the win for USC Union. The right-handed pitcher surrendered eight hits and three runs (two earned) over seven innings, striking out five and walking three.

USC Union accumulated 12 hits in the game, Caley, Emily Kate Winstead, Peyton Moss, Madison Goossens, and Gracie Starnes each collected two hits for USC Union. Caley led USC Union with two runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 2-for-4 on the day. USC Union turned one double play in the game.
